My Journey

I grew up in a loving and close-knit family in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil surrounded by nature, abundance, and family adventures. However, when I was 12, my parents divorced, and life changed abruptly. As a young teenager, Life became different, and I was forced to grow up fast. This experience shaped me and led me to pursue a law degree, focusing on family law to help others facing similar struggles. Yet, the emotional toll of that work eventually led me to reassess my career path.

After moving to North Carolina, marrying, and having my daughter, I reconnected with my passion for supporting children and families. I opened Little Blank Canvas, an art studio designed to promote healing and expression through creativity. Over the years, I witnessed how art and mindfulness practices could profoundly help children, teens, and families manage anxiety, trauma, and emotional challenges.

and healing gave me firsthand insight into the need for compassionate, holistic support. It was hard finding support and help. It was challenging finding professionals that could guide me. It was difficult, I felt lost. And my personal experience was affecting my family! After finding healing with the help of a mental health professional in Brazil, I knew my purpose was to give back by helping others on their own paths to growth and well-being.

Through certifications in art therapy, trauma-informed care, neuropsychotherapy, teen and parent coaching, I developed Mindful Art Practices—a safe space for clients to express themselves, build emotional resilience, and foster self-awareness. With over a decade of experience, I am committed to helping families, children, and teens heal, thrive, and build meaningful connections, contributing to a more compassionate and connected world.

Choosing the right support for your family can make all the difference.

Many traditional therapies focus on a single approach, which may overlook the complexity of family dynamics, trauma, and the unique needs of teens. My work offers a clear advantage by integrating a holistic, science-backed method tailored to your individual experience and goals.

With a blend of positive psychology, CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and creative interventions such as art therapy and the Safe & Sound Protocol, I guide families, teens, and young adults through emotional healing, resilience-building, and self-discovery.

Having personally experienced the challenges of trauma and family transitions, I understand firsthand the importance of compassionate, adaptive support. I’ve walked this path—through unresolved pain, depression, and healing—and I’ve seen how the right tools and practices can transform not only individuals but entire families.

By working with me, you’ll benefit from a rich combination of personal experience, over a decade of expertise with youth and families, and advanced certifications in trauma-informed care, art therapy, teen life coaching, and neuropsychotherapy.

Together, we will create a supportive environment where healing, connection, and growth flourish—helping you and your family build stronger relationships and a more balanced, meaningful life.
